Ever since I cut my hair over a month ago, I have relied heavily on a faithful product in the natural hair community, Eco Styler gel. This is a common gel used to define curls for a TWA, to slick edges, form updos and more. Prior to cutting my hair, Eco Styler gel was my go to product to hold my edges down for puffs, slick my hair down for an updo and the occasional wash and go. Now, that my hair is short again, it has become my staple product for wash and gos or my new favorite style, finger coils.

Event | Belk Fall '13 Fashion Preview Recap
Hello Beauties!
Last Thursday, I was invited to attend the Belk Fall '13 Fashion Preview in Belk in Crabtree Valley Mall. Since I enjoyed the Belk Spring '13 Fashion Tour earlier this year, I was excited to see what would be in store this time. Upon arrival, I was greeted by familiar faces and as my typical style, I sat in the back to get a full view of the presentation. Not long after arriving, the presentation began and was orchestrated by Belk's Vice President of Trend Merchandising & Fashion Direction, Arlene Goldstein.

Beauty | Latest Dollar Tree Finds
Hello Beauties!
Many of you all know that I am an advocate for being fabellis on a budget. With this in mind, one of my favorite stores to shop for beauty products is Dollar Tree. For those of you who may be unaware of Dollar Tree being that spot, check out my last trip I blogged about here. Now you may think of Dollar Tree as being a place with generic brands, but oh no. Dollar Tree is the home of many discontinued items that you may no longer find at your regular drugstore and some surprisingly good quality products.

Event | Curls Gone Wild Recap
Hello Beauties!
If you visited my Facebook page last week, you probably saw how excited I was about attending Curls Gone Wild in Greensboro! I had been anticipating this natural hair event for months and it was finally here. I attended Curls Gone Wild on Saturday as both an attendee and panelist. I was given the privilege to be on the Natural Hair and Social Media Panel along with eight other naturalistas!

Fashion | Current ShoeDazzle Faves
Hello Beauties!
I love a great pair of shoes! As I walk into my closet daily, I look at the rows of shoes and although I have some I wear more than others, each pair has it's special purpose. Since I'm a woman on a budget, sites like ShoeDazzle and Payless make it easy to shop with a budget. I reviewed ShoeDazzle's service earlier this year in this post. They have made changes in designers so some of their prices have gone up. I decided to check out ShoeDazzle's website this week to check out the changes.

Natural Hair | Styling Short Natural Hair
Hello Beauties!
Over the past few weeks, I have been on an adventure. Since cutting my hair, I have been on a quest to find what styles work best for my new, shorter hair. I remember in my earlier days of being natural that some of my favorite styles were comb twists and twist outs. With all of this in mind, I figured I would give several styles a try to see what works best!
