I'm Going to #Blogalicious9 + Here Are Three Things I Want to Learn

Beauties,

You read it right!  I am heading back to Blogalicious this year!  Blogalicious, the annual conference experience that elevates women multicultural social media influencers, was the first blog and social media conference I ever attended.  Before attending Blogalicious in 2013, I realized I was at a point where I was truly ready to take my blog and social media to the next level.  This conference was recommended to me and it truly changed my perspective on being a blogger and social media influencer.  It allowed me to realize that doing this full-time was indeed possible and that there were amazing opportunities out there just waiting for me to grab them.  Needless to say, four years later, I'm thrilled to be going back!

I'm heading to #Blogalicious9 as a Social Media Ambassador this year!  Whoop whoop!  This year's conference is being held in Miami, Florida, October 5-8, 2017.  I will be sharing all of the happenings during Blogalicious from inspirational gems to the amazing sponsors to style and everything in between.  I am attending this year with a different perspective than the first time I attended.  I reached my goal of becoming a full-time entrepreneur, but the question is...  Where do I go from here?  Higher baby!  I am attending with three things I want to learn in mind.

Three Things I Want to Learn at Blogalicious

1.  How do I become a master pitcher?

Let me keep it real.  I do not pitch nearly as much as I should.  In fact, I can count on one hand the number of times I have pitched an idea to a brand.  I normally let brands come to me, which always feels good, but I truly feel I could be building more amazing relationships with brands if I took the time to pitch to them.  Why don't I do it?  I believe it is a mix of slight fear and being unsure how to negotiate compensation, which leads me to my next learning goal.

2.  How can I negotiate like a boss?

In general, I know my worth when it comes to working with brands.  My question is...  How do I get brands to see that?  How can I negotiate and still come out on top?

3.  How do I build an authentic, encouraging tribe?

One thing that has been slightly hard for me in blogging throughout the years is finding the right tribe.  They say a tribe is essential when it comes to growing in business and as a person.  I would love to learn the keys to building an amazingly supportive tribe as well as learning how to maintain it.
