Learning How to Maximize My Closet with California Closets

Thank you California Closets for sponsoring this post.

Beauties,

It is hard to believe that my husband and I have been in our home for almost two months.  If you missed my announcement on Instagram, we became homeowners in March and officially moved in in April.  I knew from the moment we walked into this older brick home back in January, that I wanted it to be ours.  I am so thankful we are now able to truly call this space ours; however, I knew there was one thing I would need to tweak upon moving in.  Older homes tend to have smaller closet space and I knew fitting my wardrobe into this new closet would be a challenge.  That's why I am so grateful California Closets is showing me how to maximize my closet space.

If you are unfamiliar with California Closets, they are a leader in premium and luxury space management, delivering truly custom products.  They help transform spaces and allow people to get more out of their homes—and do more in their everyday lives.  Working with California Closets truly came at an amazing time because I was struggling to figure how to work with my new closet space.

California Closets' design consultants work with you to create a custom design that meets your needs, shows your personal style and works within your budget.  Calling to make an appointment for a consultation with the Greensboro's California Closets location was easy.  I was able to make an appointment with Cara for the following week.  The day of my appointment, Cara called to confirm and a few hours later, she came over to begin our consultation.

When Cara arrived, we immediately got started with the design consultation.  She took measurements of my closet and showed me a magazine containing closet design inspiration.  After measuring my closet, Cara and I sat down to talk about my closet desires.  I want a closet that not only allows me to hang items on two levels, but also allows for space for purses and shoes.  Cara created a design that includes rods and shelves to create two rows, shelf space at the top of the closet and between rows.  The following design is what she created and is perfect for my closet.

Cara provided me with an estimate for a custom-closet design and I am currently deciding whether to move forward with the redesign or make the most use of the existing space myself.  Plus, I also learned that California Closets offers more than closet designs!  From pantries and media centers, to mudrooms and garages, California Closets enhances the storage potential and purpose of even small spaces to maximize the efficacy of the home.  I'll be keeping them in mind as we start the first of many years in our home.

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of CLEVER and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
