Five Fabulous, Go To Places to Eat and Drink in #WrightsvilleBeach

Beauties,

When it comes to the beach, we tend to automatically think of seafood, but Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina showed me that they have even more to enjoy! Last month, hubby and I visited Wrightsville Beach for a few days to start my birthday celebration and we had so much fun. You can see some of the fun we had, including paddleboarding, here.  While we were there, we indulged in so much good, local food. The best part is that most places were not only delicious, but super affordable for an elevated experience. Whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch or dinner, I have a few spots below that will fulfill each foodie mood you have.

Five Fabulous, Go To Places to Eat and Drink in #WrightsvilleBeach

1.  Lighthouse Beer and Wine

After arriving in Wrightsville Beach, one of the first places we went is the super popular, Lighthouse Beer and Wine. With over 600 wine selections, is it any surprise that they are a popular spot? Not only do they have a huge wine selection, but they also have over 800 international beers. We enjoyed seeing so many drinks that were new to us. The staff was so helpful and really guided us to find the perfect drink. We ended up choosing the Capriccio White Sangria which was delicious! This is definitely a must anytime you’re in the area.

2.  Poe’s Tavern

Right next door to Lighthouse Beer and Wine is Poe’s Tavern. If you were wondering why it’s called Poe’s Tavern, you probably guessed right. It is named after the famous author, Edgar Allan Poe. They have craft beer and unique burgers. We enjoyed their burgers and the delicious onion straws. Inside you may even want to take a trip to the bathroom not only to wash your hands, but to check out the literature on the walls.

3.  The Workshop

Whether you want something light or a little heavier for breakfast, The Workshop has it. We stopped in one morning to grab some coffee and a little breakfast before hitting the beach. I loved their iced mocha and my husband and I split a delicious breakfast croissant, which was warmed up on the spot. It is a smaller restaurant, but they have inside and outside seating, which was nice since the weather was so pretty.

4.  EAST Oceanfront Dining

If you want dinner with a view, THIS is it! EAST Oceanfront Dining is located inside the beautiful Blockade Runner Beach Resort. We enjoyed our table with a view of their oceanfront garden in beautiful, white wicker chairs. We decided to enjoy drinks and an appetizer there together and the bacon and collard green dip was everything! So yummy and the view was beautiful. If you are looking for more of an entree, they have several delicious options.

5.  Tower 7 Baja Mex

Our last stop while at Wrightsville Beach was one that was recommended more than once from locals while we were there. People kept telling us to visit Tower 7 and now we see why! We dropped in for a little late-night meal and I now know why this place was crowded on a Monday night. As soon as we sat down, we were brought chips and salsa. The shrimp tacos were out of this world! I have thought of them several times since our trip and not to mention, they had delicious margaritas. This will be one of the first places I go on the next trip!
