Why Spend More...?

Hello My Beauties!

I pray that you all have been doing well.  I apologize for my absence but I have been in the process of getting ready for a BIG change in my life.  Many of my Facebook friends have been a witness to the change God has blessed me with.  I will announce it to my blog followers soon.  Just know this...  If you have a dream, go to God with it and watch Him work!

Now, I'm here to share with you all a quick blog on an awesome product I found at K-mart recently.  As you know from a previous blog, I'm a huge fan of E.L.F [Eyes, Lips, Face].  When I was in K-mart a few weeks ago, I picked up a few items that I wanted to try and this one really stood out to me.

E.L.F Eyelid Primer - $1

As you all can see, I discovered E.L.F's Eyelid Primer.  This wonderful product is only a $1.  Let me repeat...$1!!!  I love this!

This primer is used to keep your eyeshadow from creasing.  I'm the type of woman that puts on makeup at 7 a.m. and needs it to last until late in the day...even night.  I have been a fan of Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance for ages, but let me tell you all something...  This stuff will give Too Faced a run for its money!

Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance is currently $18.  You can save $17 and get the SAME value and use out of E.LF's Eyelid Primer.

1, 2, 3... Stick!

Hello Fashionistas!

For all of my ladies who love nail polish, this posting is especially for you!  I have something amazingly awesome for you!

I recently tried Sally Hansen's Salon Effects nail strips and they are AWESOME!  If you haven't heard of these strips, they are a pre-cut strips that come in a box including a nail file and cuticle stick.  There are 16 strips in the box.  You just simply find the pre-cut strip that best fits your nail, peel, and stick.  You can simply fold and pull of the excess strip from the nail and then file them down with the included file.  They are already dry and ready to go.

Check out the pictures:

These strips are very comparable to minx but for only a fraction of the price!  This box of strips was $8.50 at Walmart.  They are said to last to up to 10 days.

[Note:  I'm currently on Day 5 of having these on my nails and I have had little to no chipping.]

Want to see how they are put on?  Check out the link below!  As always, God bless.

Crackle Craze

Hello Fashionistas!

Okay...  Have you all heard about the new "crackle" nail polish?  If you haven't heard of this yet, please get up to date ladies!  This is the newest craze in nail polish.  I first heard about them a week ago.  For those who aren't sure what I'm talking about, what it is is a nail polish that you put on top of your favorite polish and it gives a cracked design.  It sounds crazy, but it looks great!

Right now, Opi has a brand of the crackle nail polish, but Opi is a little on the expensive side.  No bueno!  I went to Sally's Beauty Supply today and got the China Glaze "Crackle Glaze" for $3 a bottle with the Sally's card!  Let me repeat that...  $3!  So, I got three bottles for only $9 total.  You can't beat that.  I rushed home to try it and here are the results:

[L to R]  Broken Hearted, Black Mesh & Cracked Concrete

I know it didn't come out perfect on my nails, but I still find the look to be very cool.  I painted the crackle nail polish over Avon's Speed Dry Nail Polish in Ballerina.

Let me know what you think!  God bless.

A Cut Above

Hello Fashionistas!

I'm back with you all with a surprise...  A topic that I have never touched base on before...  I want to talk about...  My hair!  Now I know some of you may not care and/or may be wondering why I would want to talk about this.  Most of you who actually know me know that I made a big change to my hair last week.  I felt that it was time for me to start all over.

I went from this...

to...THIS!

This has been a drastic, but AWESOME change for me!  I chose to change my hair because I felt that it was time to start over.  During the summer of 2010, I got a keratin treatment in my virgin hair.  It turned my natural curls into bone, straight hair even after washing.  I was told that after a few months, it would naturally wash out of my hair; however, that turned out to not be the case for my hair.  Instead it has to be grown out.  I wanted to get back to my curls and most importantly, get back to me.  In order to make a true change, you know you always have to cut the dead ends.  ;-)

As always, God bless!
