Product Review: Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam Foundation

Hello Beauties!

As many of you who follow me on Twitter may know, I have been on the hunt!  I have been on the hunt for the perfect (or semi-perfect) drugstore foundation.  Drugstore foundation shades always seemed to be a bit off to me in high school so for the past five years, I have toggled between MAC, Clinique and Make Up For Ever foundations.  (Note:  Make Up For Ever is my favorite...hands down!)  Well, to be quite honest, neither of the brands I mentioned are exactly "budget-friendly."  Since I wear foundation most days, I decided to hunt for something a bit less expensive.

It just so happened that as I began my hunt, I read The Glamorous Gleam's most recent blog highlighting the new Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam Foundation.  Since I know she has skin similar to mine, I figured it would be worth a shot.  (Note:  The $2 coupon I had helped too!)

Shade 310 - Honey Beige

Pros
  • Affordable (Price Range:  $8-$11)
  • Lightweight
  • Easy to Blend
  • Easy Application (Can use fingers)
Cons
  • Limited Color Selection
  • Not for Extended Wear or Oily Skin

My Thoughts

I can honestly say that I do not regret this purchase.  I love how blendable and easy to apply this foundation is.  You can apply it with your fingers if you want; however, I used a stipple brush.  Also, the color goes wonderful with my skin.  My only gripe is that this is NOT best for people who either have oily skin or a work/school day beyond eight hours.  By the time I got off work around 4:30 p.m., most of the makeup was gone from my chin and nose.  Mind you, I applied a primer and used an oil-control setting spray.  Yikes!

Would I Purchase Again?

Believe it or not, I would.  Even though I have super long days the majority of the time, my extended days aren't everyday.  This would be perfect for a Sunday where I am going to church or any short period of time.

What do you think?  Had you heard of the Nude Airfoam Foundation?

Thanks for reading & God bless!

  6. I don't really do too many drugstore brands. Since I have been following a variety of beauty blogs I have tried a few items based recommendation. Honestly they don't live up to my expectation. Bobbi Brown makes a great foundation I would recommend. Also Nars makes a great foundation. I realize they are a bit pricey but you need less product and it last longer. I have tried Revlon PhotoReady and been satisfied with Revlon's performance. But again I truly recommend Bobbi Brown. I don't understand why I don't hear more about Bobbi Brown line when review beauty post. Every Bobbi Brown product I own I love.
