I have to admit that I've struggled with weight loss for years. Like many, I'm one of the ones who has started and stopped my weight loss journey so many times that I've lost count. The truth is I've never been able to actually stick with it. I would be gung ho for a few weeks even a month then lose complete interest. I even started to share my journey here with you all at one point and then, of course, I completely stopped posting about it. The truth is that I stopped sharing because I was scared to be honest and say that I fell off the wagon.
One of the reasons I'm taking my health more seriously now is that not only did I recently turn 30, but my husband and I have started to discuss having a child in the next few years. At my last physical exam, my doctor advised me that it would be a good idea to lose at least 50 pounds before becoming pregnant to have the healthiest pregnancy possible. I now have the opportunity to work with Jenny Craig for the next two months and I'm determined to change my mindset and my life. Jenny Craig is a clinically proven and recommended weight-loss program designed to provide structure and support to help members lose weight and learn how to keep it off.
Three Things I Love About My Consultant Already
1. She was extremely encouraging and funny. Bonus!
2. She told me we can watch my progress, see how things are working and make adjustments if necessary. I love that change is possible if something isn't working.
3. She told me my weight doesn't define me!
We will chat via phone once week to discuss any challenges from the previous week and determine a plan for the week ahead. Plus, she will keep track of my success with weekly weigh-ins and teach me how to self-monitor.
Yesterday I received my first food order from Jenny Craig Anywhere. I have enough meals and snacks to last two weeks. They sent me this amount based off our refrigerator size, which I thought was great. I'll be receiving three more shipments during the program. Based on my current weight and overall goal of losing 100 pounds, my daily calorie allotment is 1700 calories. I will have three meals and three snacks a day. I'm excited to start tomorrow and can't wait to share my journey with you! My personal goal is to lose at least 20 pounds during the next two months. I can do this and I can't wait to show you!
Results not typical. Members following the Jenny Craig program, on average, lose 1-2 lbs. per week. I received promotional consideration.
