Lifestyle | December 2015 Fun Fly Fabulous Box Review

I have made a conscious decision that in 2016, I want to support as many black women owned businesses as I can.  In particular, I want to focus on only subscribing to beauty subscription services geared towards women of color.  With that said, about a month ago, I ran across the Fun Fly Fabulous box on Instagram.  This monthly subscription box is not just about beauty, but it's a lifestyle box!  I decided to subscribe and I just received my first box in the mail. Keep reading to learn more...

The Fun Fly Fabulous box was created by Ariane Simone.  She says, "With a variety of industry specific subscription boxes, we aim to simplify your life, hence the tag line, why subscribe to 5 boxes, when you can subscribe to 1?  So we combined 5 different industries into 1 box to meet your total lifestyle needs.  As a Celebrity Publicist & Entrepreneur in the Entertainment, Fashion, Beauty, Food, and Home Industries, this is my gift to the world!"

Here's what I received in the December box entitled, The Cozy Box:

Luxury Divas Socks ($3.33) - I love these socks!  As a woman with a size 11 foot, it's hard to find socks that fit my foot as well as a wider ankle.  These socks fit great and seem adjustable to any foot size.  They are super soft.

Bryson Tiller, Trap Soul ($9.99) - I don't know much about Bryson Tiller, but believe it or not, I love trap music so I was kind of hype about getting this cd.

Southern Girl Desserts Red Velvet Cake ($8.75) - When I first opened the box, I was wondering would this cake be fresh.  My Lord!  Not only was the cake fresh when I broke the seal, but it was probably the best cake I've had in years.  Yes...years!  Delicious!

Design Essentials Natural Daily Moisturizing Lotion ($13.99) - I love Design Essentials Natural products and my stylist uses them in her salon.  I have never used this moisturizing lotion before, but I love the smell and can't wait to use it to refresh a twistout.

elf Moisturizing Lipstick in Red Carpet ($3.00) - I don't use elf products quite as often as I used to, but their brushes are in my daily makeup routine.  I can say I was totally underwhelmed by this lipstick.  It looks pigmented on my hand, but it is pretty transparent on my lips and no matter how much I build, it's not pigmented enough for my taste.

December Box Value:  $39.07

Overall, I really like this box.  I love the fact that I received all items I had never used before.  Plus, I enjoyed reading the mini magazine inside and learning about the companies featured in the box this month.  My only suggestion to Fun Fly Fabulous would be to work on their shipping costs.  The box alone costs $21; however, the shipping cost was almost $10 so it makes this box over $30.  From what I received, I do think the cost balances out, but with other subscription services, I have not had to pay for shipping.

What do you think?  Are you impressed with the Fun Fly Fabulous Box?

God bless & stay fabellis,
