A Little Plaid

It is hard to believe that today is the first day of October.  This year has been flying by, but I can't help but be excited because we have officially entered my favorite season.  Fall has been my favorite season for as long as I can remember.  From the cool weather to to great fashion, it is the best.  This year I was able to attend New York Fashion Week for the first time and it was a whirlwind weekend, but I was so inspired by all of the amazing fall fashion.  There were several fashion themes I saw all over the city, but the main must for this fall is definitely plaid.  I will certainly be adding more plaid pieces to my wardrobe this season, but the first piece I've added are these plaid pants.

As you all know, I recently partnered with Cato Fashions to find the perfect denim this fall.  As I was in store shopping for denim, I came across these plaid pants.  I loved the print because it's a mix of grey, red, black and mustard.  Plus, they were under $30.  Adding them to my closet was a no brainer.  For this look, I wore a cute, off the shoulder top and mules to play up the red in these pants.  I love this look and can think of numerous ways to rock these pants.  I could see myself rocking this with a vintage tee and sneakers or a chunky sweater and heels.  These will be on repeat.

The only thing I would do different in the future is likely wear a smoothing panty or shaper with these pants.  They are not very forgiving, but sometimes I prefer comfort over a super polished look.
