Last Thursday, people all over the world celebrated Fashion's Night Out. While I would have loved to have been in New York, I was able to celebrate right here in North Carolina at Belk.
As you may have seen over the days following Fashion's Night Out, there were plenty of events to attend in New York City and one of my favorite natural hair companies (find out why here) highlighted trends in natural hair during this fashionable night.
Beautiful Textures Hair Care presented Curly Couture where recording artist, Teyana Taylor hosted. The event included hand-crafted works of hair art by Emmy-Award winning hairstylist, Hadiiya Barbel, an open bar, and posh noshes from Harlem’s legendary Sylvia’s Restaurant.

Hello Beauties!
As many of you know, I celebrated my one year natural anniversary back in February. Throughout the months leading up to my anniversary, I had been getting to know my natural hair and in turn, learning what does and does not work for my hair. By the time I reached my anniversary, I had pretty much narrowed down what does work for my hair and was on a mission to NOT buy anymore hair products.
Well, throughout the blogosphere and YouTube, I began to notice a buzz about a new company emerging on the scene with products made for various textures of hair including Curly, Wavy, Kinky-Coily and Frizzy. This brand, Beautiful Textures, was brand new and had just hit the shelves at Sally's. By me already having a regimen in place, I was intrigued but holding firm to not buying anymore products. One day I went into Sally's to renew my membership card and received a $5 coupon for my next purchase. I ended up purchasing Beautiful Textures' Moisture Butter Whipped Curl Creme.
Needless to say, this has been one (if not the) best purchases I have made for my hair. Let's get into the breakdown of this product.
