Hello Beauties!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. My weekend mainly consisted of work; however, I did get the opportunity to see two great movies. I saw "Bridesmaids" and "Jumping the Broom." I'm unsure why I watched two wedding movies back to back (typically not my style), but I loved them. "Bridesmaids" was epic! If you haven't seen it, please do yourself a favor and see it.
Moving on... I wanted to come to you all really quickly to let you know that Belk is currently offering a Clinique gift with any Clinique purchase of $21.50 or more. Clinique is skincare I live by. Didn't expect me to have a blog so soon, did you? Well, I'm determined to get back to doing what I love and I figured why not start today. :-)

So, I simply wash my face, take a cosmetic pad and swipe toner and then moisturize and I'm done. I also do the same thing after I remove my makeup. Removing your makeup at night is another thing that will really keep your skin healthy. Also, Clinique has different systems for different skin types. I am a #4 because I have oily skin. My mom, for instance, is a #2 because she has normal (not dry, not oily) skin. They have systems that will work for any skin type. It's just a matter of taking the time to go and talk with someone to find out what works best for you.

Now the first topic I want to get into with you all is my skin care regimen. I'm mainly doing this because I have had numerous people come up to me and ask about my makeup...and then go on to ask is it the makeup making my skin look like that or is it really my skin. LOL! Well, for those of you who may be wondering, it's really MY skin. I believe makeup should only enhance beauty and not cover it up. With that being said, I don't have any secret lotion or potion that I use on my skin, but I do have a defined system that I go by that I truly believe in and that is...
For those who aren't familiar with Clinique, it is a three step system that you use twice a day. It can typically be purchased at department stores such as Belk and Macy's. I have been a Clinique user for many years and I stay with the products because they work extremely well with my skin. I have met many people who tell me that they only use water on their face or bar soap. Different things work for different people. In my years of learning about skincare, I have been told by an esthetician (facial specialist) that a three step system is ideal because a toner is what helps renew your skin and remove traces of dirt and oil.

New beauty products are constantly being introduced on the scene. I love to try new products. Four of these products are new products (for me at least) that I really have fallen in love with while one is a constant fave of mine. Let me show you what I'm talking about...

- I found this cream in Target a few weeks ago on clearance as you can see. I was in the market for a good cleanser to use on my face AFTER makeup removal. I found this as I was browsing around. I've always thought highly of Aveeno because quite frankly, I like their products. I decided to give it a whirl and I will admit... I really like this. It's very moisturizing. It feels good to my skin after a long day. Sometimes your face can feel somewhat dry after removing makeup. This cleanses and adds moisture. This may be because it doesn't contain soap. Ah ha!

- Can I just say that I love this? You all do NOT understand. This cream is awesome. I started using this cream because I noticed when I add concealer under my eyes, it was beginning to look cakey. It was recommended to use a heavier cream under the eye. OMG... This is so moisturizing. My eyes look smoother and brighter. I use this DAILY.
- Ladies, ladies, ladies... If you are not using these, please get these in your life. I use these daily. These pads are so gentle but effective. I just wet them a little with warm water and it takes all the makeup off both eyes...even waterproof. It's so gentle on your eyes.
- I believe that if you really want to have good makeup application, you ALWAYS need to use primer. I absolutely love this primer. It's thick so it gives a moisturizing feel but also, it's GREAT for people with combination/oily skin like myself. It reduces the amount of oil on my face.
- As you all may know from a previous blog, I'm a big E.L.F fan. I love affordable yet GOOD products. E.L.F always delivers! I take my makeup off daily with these cloths. They get all the makeup off with one sheet. I think next time I order these online [because I haven't seen them in stores], I will buy them in bulk. Definitely worth it!
