Before I jump into this post, I want to thank all of you who continue to read and support this blog. Beauty writing has been a passion of mine since college and I'm happy to share that I was just offered an opportunity to be the beauty writer for Kinky Curly Koily Me, which is a popular, natural hair website created by the owner Jenell. I feel blessed to have the opportunity and I have some great things in store. I will keep you posted on when to expect the first posting.

As many of you may know, I am loving this season's hi-lo trend. In a recent post, I showed the purple hi-lo shirt pictured here that I scored for $10 from Conway. On that same day, I found a great, striped hi-lo skirt at Forever 21. Since it was less than $20, I scooped it right up. Did I mention it was the last one? Yup!

How many of you have been seeing the new hi-lo trend lately? I am usually not one to follow trends; however, I have been seeing this trend a lot and believe it or not, I love it. When I first saw Jillian over at NuSophisticate show off her hi-lo, pleated skirt, I fell in love. There was an air of sophisticated sexiness to it. As I began to explore this new trend, I began to see it not only in skirts, but shirts as well.
Here are two pieces I found at a great price:
