Natural Hair: The LOC Method

Hello Beauties!

Despite how it may appear online, my natural hair has not been playing nice this winter.  In fact, it's been getting on my nerves!  This is the first winter, I have worn my natural hair loose rather than in a protective style.  Due to this, I have been experiencing a bit dryness.  I wasn't sure what to do, but after speaking with a stylist and research, I decided to give the LOC Method a try.

For those who are not aware of the LOC Method, it is where you use a liquid, oil and then cream on your hair to lock in moisture.  You can follow these three, easy steps:

1.  Apply water.
2.  Lightly seal with your choice of oil.
3.  Seal with a hair butter or cream.

Easy, right?  Here is the variation I chose to make it my own:

1.  Apply water.
2.  Lightly seal with coconut oil.
3.  Seal with Cantu Leave In Conditioning Repair Cream.

I chose to do this method and then style my hair in bantu knots.  I have never been a fan of bantu knots, but I figured I would give it a try now that my hair is longer.  Well...  I'm still not a fan.  HA!  However, my hair is soft and shiny.  The LOC Method may be my new staple.

Do you use the LOC Method?  What products do you use?

God bless & stay fabellis!

  1. my hair is super dry too. I've been using Qhemet Biologics Conditioning ghee. I have to put it on every night which is super annoying.
