Events | Gate City Naturals Lunch 'n Learn Recap

Hello Beauties!

Last month, I had the awesome opportunity to speak at the Gate City Naturals January Lunch 'n Learn.  This free event was held at EM Creative Fitness and Wellness in Greensboro on a cool Saturday.  When I arrived at the event, I was surprised to find that the fitness center has a juice bar as soon as you walk in.  They were in the midst of making juices and smoothies for customers.

As I walked further inside, I walked in the work out area where the lunch 'n learn would take place.  As the event got started, naturalistas (and gentlemen) came in and fixed a plate with a light lunch and sat down.

The creator of Gate City Naturals, Teasha, welcomed everyone and after her welcome, I stepped up to talk about natural hair and more.  I started the lunch conversation with sharing my own natural hair story.  From there, I shared how I got started with the blog and how originally it was solely a beauty blog.

I answered questions that people had regarding natural hair and beauty.  I also gave away to prizes.  I gave a prize away to the youngest natural in the group and who could remember how long I have been natural.  I had an awesome time at the event and met a lot of beautiful women inside and out.

Thank you to Bijuju for sponsoring my necklace for the event!

God bless & stay fabellis,

  6. Thanks sis! I was thinking the same thing when I walked in. Since I'll be there in a few months, I definitely plan to see if I can take a few classes there.
