Beauty | Boscia Luminizing Black Mask Review

Beauties,

I love face masks.  There are so many different types out there that focus on different results.  Most masks I've typically been drawn to contain charcoal or clay since both ingredients have been known to detox your skin and remove oil and dirt.  I've been using masks since high school and it wasn't until recently that I've started seeing people raving about peel off masks.  I'd never run across a peel off mask with a focus that caught my eye until I ran across the Boscia Luminizing Black Mask.  Keep reading to learn more about this mask and my thoughts.

My Thoughts

Although I love face masks, there's one thing I hate about them.  Since I usually apply face masks at night, after wearing it for 30 minutes, I usually don't feel like washing it off.  That's what prompted me to find an effective peel off mask.  After doing some Google searches, I came across the Boscia Luminizing Black Mask.  It had great reviews and many reviews mentioned how effectively it removes blackheads.  I drove to Sephora after work one day and bought it.

The price is a bit high for the mask ($34), but I'm already a huge Boscia fan.  Their blotting linens are a must in my makeup bag.  The first evening I tried the mask, I had a bit of a shock.  The ingredients actually caused my eyes to water.  I read a review saying that it could make your eyes water, but I was a bit surprised when it actually happened.  It was the same feeling like when you're around onions.  I took the advice of one reviewer and simply closed my eyes for a few minutes after applying the mask to my full face.  Once I opened my eyes, I was fine.  I let the mask stay on for 30 minutes and once my timer went off, I had no issues pulling off the mask.

So, what did I notice?  I loved the way my skin tingled while wearing the mask.  After removal, my skin had a wonderful glow and my blackheads disappeared.  Since then, I've been using the mask every one to two weeks.  It's really good for those with combination to oily skin.  Plus, you don't have to apply the mask to your entire face.  Over time, I began really focusing on my oily areas instead of my entire face.

The Process

Rating:  A-

Although this mask works wonderfully, I'm not a fan of the price.  It's a bit pricey, but if you have the money to spend, I say give it a try.  It works great for those with combination to oily skin.  I think you would be amazed at how good your skin looks even after the first use.  I can see it being a bit too drying for those with dry skin so I wouldn't recommend it for you if you do have dry skin.  To learn more about the Boscia Luminizing Black Mask, click here.
