Beauty | ColourPop KaePop Ultra Matte Lips Review & Swatches

Beauties,

If you didn't know I'm obsessed with ColourPop by now, you need to follow me on Instagram.  After hearing so much about ColourPop last year, I purchased my first two Ultra Matte lip colors from them late last year.  I'm ashamed to say how many I have now, but nevertheless, when the KaePop Collection recently came out, I was on it.  If you haven't heard, ColourPop recently collaborated with Karrueche for an amazing collection of lip colors, lip pencils, eye shadows and a highlighter.  I ordered all six of the lip colors and pencils.  Now that I've had time to play with them, let's get into the 411 on these babies...

My Thoughts

When I first saw the colors that were being released for the KaePop Collection, I was excited.  I love nudes and dark lips and this collection gives you both.  I ordered the lip colors and pencils and waited two weeks to receive them.  Typically with ColourPop, I have to wait about a week to receive my order because ColourPop is based out of California and I'm on the east coast.  This collection seemed to be very popular so the wait time was doubled.  The wait was a bit annoying, but ColourPop sent out an apology for the wait time on social media and included a free Lippie Stix with my order.  That makes it hard to complain.

When I received Chi, Rooch and Kae with the matching lip pencils, I was immediately in love.  The colors are very pigmented and long lasting.  These colors can last all day on your lips as long as you don't eat greasy foods.  The lip pencils are the perfect combination and increase the longevity of these lip colors.  Are the lip pencils a must?  Not really, but it does give you a little more wear time.  My only issue with these lip colors is that Rooch seems to be a bit crumbly.  I own several of the Ultra Matte lip colors and this is the only one that's given me this issue.  To remedy this, I typically only put one coat of Rooch on my lips.  It doesn't last as long, but it prevents the crumbles.  Plus, one of the best things about these lippies is that they aren't too drying on the lips.

Would I Recommend?

Yes!  I would highly recommend this collection.  Not only are you getting amazingly pigmented colors, they are super long lasting.  Plus, I got all six lip colors and pencils for $33 with free shipping.  You cannot beat it honey!  To learn more about ColourPop Cosmetics, click here.

Which KaePop color are you feeling the most?

God bless & stay fab,
