Personal Style | #FabsThrifty30: Over The Rainbow Skirt

Beauties,

August is a special month for me because it's my birthday month.  If you've been following my blog for some time, you know that celebrating my birthday is something I look forward to each year.  My upcoming birthday is extra special because I will be turning 30.  My last year in my twenties has been a year of learning, growing and following my purpose.  In following my purpose, I've realized I've missed sharing something on the blog.

Many of you know that I'm a lover of thrift shopping so I have decided to do something special the entire month of August.  I've decided to create #FabsThrift30 where I will be including at least one thrifted piece in each style post this month.  The purpose of #FabsThrifty30 is to show you all how easily it is to add thrift pieces into your wardrobe and that thrifting is an excellent option for someone on a budget.  Even if you aren't on a budget, thrifting is fun for anyone who likes finding unique pieces like the skirt I'm wearing in today's post.

I recently went to a thrift meetup hosted by by KikiSol a few weekends ago.  I absolutely loved this meetup and one reason I loved the meetup was not only the laughing and talking, but swapping amongst the group.  We all actually got first dibs on pieces that did not work for others in the group.  That's exactly what happened with this skirt.  When it didn't work for Angela of 24PlusStyle, she handed it to me.  I actually thrifted the denim vest as well and paid under $8 for both.  Since the skirt is so colorful, I added a white tee (see more ways to style a white tee here) and these new Simply Be booties.

Thrifted Denim Vest - Under $4
Thrifted Striped Skirt - Under $4
Simply Be Sole Diva Peep Toe Boots
Aldo McCooey Sunglasses

How did I do styling these thrifted pieces?  Let me know!

God bless & stay fab,
