Personal Style | Fringe It

Beauties,

I was so tempted to wear black this week, but I encouraged myself to set the black aside for at least a day.  Don't laugh at me.  Today's look includes two things I love: boots and fringe.  Both are staples this season and the best part is I purchased this fringe poncho/scarf for only $10 from BohoBlu Curvy.  You all already know I'm a huge fan of bargain shopping, but I also love shopping with a purpose.  I was intrigued when I saw that my local BohoBlu Curvy encouraged their customers to donate gently used clothing on Black Friday in exchange for up to three 50% off coupons to be used in their store.

One of the easiest ways I feel you can give back to your local community is by donating clothing and household items.  So when I saw that BohoBlu Curvy was accepting donations, I knew I immediately wanted to take part.  On Black Friday, I took three gently used clothing pieces to their store.  I opted to donate one of my 50% off coupons to another customer and only use two of the coupons I was given.  I used both of my coupons to purchase this poncho/scarf in taupe and black.

I could not get over how fly this piece is and the great price.  I love the fringe and openings in the front.  You may be just as shocked as me to learn it's actually a scarf, but I love the versatility of it.  I opted to wear it with an olive green henley, jeggings and these Lane Bryant over the knee boots.  This look was comfortable and can easily be worn so many places.  I can't wait to wear the black one soon!

Style Notes:  Although these boots are made to go over the knee, due to my wide calves, they aren't able to go far above my knee.  If you have a calf over 21 inches in circumference, you may still be able to wear the boots, just more slouched like in the image.

Would you wear this piece as a scarf or poncho?

God bless & stay fab,
