It is hard to believe that #Blogalicious9 was a month ago. I went into Blogalicious knowing that it would be an incredible experience, but it surpassed my expectations. I knew from the first day that I was in for an inspiring, knowledge-gaining experience. Trust me, I got exactly that. VIP Mastermind Day started the conference completely getting my life together and encouraging me to go after what I really want and deserve. The thing is, though... Blogalicious goes deeper than just encouraging you to get your coins. Blogalicious taught me the power of true sisterhood and truly how to treat your sister.

The first day of #Blogalicious9 was an incredible experience. Imagine the first day of a conference being so good that you could have gone home feeling fulfilled and inspired all in one day. That is what the first day of Blogalicious gave me! Blogalicious is a one of a kind conference that I already knew would be amazing because my first time attending four years ago was out of this world. This year is extra special for me not only because I am a Social Media Ambassador for this year's conference, but I was able to experience the VIP Mastermind Day presented by AARP for the first time. VIP Mastermind Day was amazing from beginning to end and let's just say... It got my life together!

Blogalicious, the annual conference experience that elevates women multicultural social media influencers, was the first blog and social media conference I ever attended. Before attending Blogalicious in 2013, I realized I was at a point where I was truly ready to take my blog and social media to the next level. This conference was recommended to me and it truly changed my perspective on being a blogger and social media influencer. It allowed me to realize that doing this full-time was indeed possible and that there were amazing opportunities out there just waiting for me to grab them. Needless to say, four years later, I'm thrilled to be going back!

I have been back from the TCFStyleExpo an entire week and I am still missing all of the fabulous ladies I met in Atlanta. This was my first year attending the TCFStyleExpo, which is a two-day plus size fashion event created by The Curvy Fashionista that includes shopping, panels and workshops and fashion shows. It was such a great experience! From the Cobb Galleria to the surrounding area, I loved the venue and the area of Atlanta it was located in. A venue that is easy to find with great hotels and restaurants nearby and even a mall right across the street is a definite win! Now that I am home, I have had time to reflect on the weekend and I want to share three of my favorite moments from the weekend.

Remember last week when I openly professed my love for iced caramel coffee? Making a morning stop at McDonald's for a medium iced caramel coffee is a faithful routine for me, but I realized that I rarely visit McDonald's for lunch or dinner. All that has changed now because of the new Signature Crafted menu McDonald's recently introduced. I'm a girl that likes options and if I'm being real, I love fancy things too. You get both with their new menu and who doesn't love being able to create their own sandwich? I had the opportunity to try the new menu for myself last week along with the Triad Women Bloggers Network and let's just say... McDonald's is changing the game for fast food!

If there is one thing I love, it's events that promise a great show every year and actually deliver! The UniverSoul Circus, also known as the #BestCircusEver, does just that. It is a yearly favorite of mine not only because of the soulful music, but the great crowd participation and amazing performances. My husband and I have been every year for the last three years and each time, we always have a ball. The UniverSoul Circus invited me to attend again this year (see my makeover from last year) and I couldn't wait to see what was new in this year's show. Needless to say, the show was completely new and better than ever!

This year was extremely special for me because I was asked to be one of the judges. If you've never heard of Rock the Runway, the show includes designers who create original ensembles with clothing donated to Triad Goodwill. Not only do you get to enjoy a fabulous show, but you also get to shop and support a worthy cause. All proceeds from the night’s festivities benefit those who experience barriers in employment and job training within our community. As a donator and frequent shopper of Triad Goodwill, I couldn't wait to see what the designers would create.

I had the pleasure of speaking at the 3rd Annual NaturalStar Natural Hair Expo in Charlotte last Saturday. This well planned and fabulous event was held from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Carole A. Hoefner Recreation Center. The event included workshops, vendors, demonstrations, food and special guest, CharyJay. I hosted a workshop entitled, "Own Your Style," in the morning and I was happy to have around 20 women in my workshop.

Ever since I moved to Greensboro last year, I have been hearing so much about Winston Salem being a beautiful place for art and creatives. When I saw that Winston Salem Fashion Week was coming up, I couldn't wait to see what it was all about and it truly was a beautiful experience.

This year's Greensboro event will be held on May 30 from 2-5 p.m. at Masterminds Design Studio. I will be speaking at this year's event, sharing my own natural hair journey, quick hair styling tips and a few of my beauty secrets!

The event started at 1 p.m. and as guests arrived, they were welcomed to the event and given hair samples. I guided them to a display of Beautiful Textures and Dream Kids products near the entrance and talked to them about the products on the table.

Designer Consignors is a biannual consignment sale held in Cary, North Carolina and allows consignors to sell their gently used items, shoppers to purchase them at a discounted rate and vendors to sell and promote products. The spring sale starts next week and runs from Thursday, April 16 to Saturday, April 18. Plus, the great part about this sale is that they always do a charity drive Thursday evening of the event. The spring charity drive will be a product drive for Urban Ministries.

When I arrived at The Style Symposium, I was immediately greeted by two ladies who welcomed me, checked my ticket and gave me a gift bag.

It's evident that most readers are enjoying the addition of personal style posts I decided to add to FabEllis earlier this year. I have also noticed that many of you are hard working, professional women. With this in mind, I decided that October will be dedicated to workwear here on the blog.
