If you follow my weekly features on KinkyCurlyCoilyMe, you may have seen my recent review of the Mary Kay Satin Lips Set. This product is one of those that was a pleasant surprise for me and immediately became a part of the must-have list. The Satin Lips set is essential for everyone because exfoliating your lips allows your lips to stay healthy and soft and it keeps your lips looking beautiful under sometimes drying lipsticks.

As many of you know, I am a true lover of makeup, but what's more important to me is healthy skin. Many times people do not realize that flawless makeup usually yields from healthy skin. Now many of you may find this hard to believe, but if you get close enough to some makeup wearers, you will notice bumps, pimples or marks. Because of this, it's essential to always put the health of your skin first.
Since college, I have been an advocate of Clinique's three-step system. With their skin system being my go-to for so long, I was a little apprehensive when given the opportunity to try something new. However, they always say change is good, right? So...in pops, Mary Kay's two-step system, which includes the Timewise 3-in-1 Cleanser and Timewise Age-Fighting Moisturizer.

So, how many of us hate walking by a mirror and seeing...*gasp*...an oily nose?! If you are a reader of the blog, you may know by now that I am also a possessor of oily skin. Now, don't get me wrong. Although oily skin has its faults, so do other skin types. What I do know is that oily or not, seeing an oil slick on your face midday is not cute.

Is it me or do we all get to points in life where time seems to get the best of us? It constantly seems to happen to me. The past week has been a whirlwind. After working all week, I drove to DC for a three day weekend. I had a wonderful weekend with my family and friends. Also, I got to meet the wonderful blogger, Nic from Nic's Picks.
