My Weekend, Updates & More...

Hello Beauties!

Is it me or do we all get to points in life where time seems to get the best of us?  It constantly seems to happen to me.  The past week has been a whirlwind.  After working all week, I drove to DC for a three day weekend.  I had a wonderful weekend with my family and friends.  Also, I got to meet the wonderful blogger, Nic from Nic's Picks.  She and I had a great time together.  Be sure to check out her blog if you are a lover of thrifting, like myself!

Before I show you pictures from my weekend, I want to show you this...

New Hair!

Keep Reading to Find Out More...

I changed my hair!  For those of you who follow me on Facebook and Twitter, I'm sure this is of no surprise.  I am always trying something new.  But yes... I changed my hair.  Now the shocking part...  This is a partial sew in!  Everyone (including my family) thought this was my real hair due to the natural texture of it.  Unfortunately, my hair is not this thick or long (yet!).  I opted for an easy, protective style for the next few weeks.

If you are wondering what type of hair this is, here you go:

Outre Pro 10 Bohemian Curl
I used one full pack as well as a small amount of a second pack for this hair style.  The hair is a new formula of synthetic hair.  It looks and feels like human hair.  I love it so far!  I have had it for almost a week now.  Also, it is very affordable.  I paid only $12.99/pack.  Also, I do have a partial sew in.  The top of my hair is left out and I two strand twist my natural hair to blend with the rest.  To create my two strand twists, I use Beautiful Textures' Curl Control & Whipped Moisture Butter.

Now on to DC...

I had a great time in DC this weekend.  I was able to visit family and friends, as well as eat some of my favorite foods such as sushi, calamari and crab.  I also attended a rally in Freedom Plaza for Trayvon Martin.

Check out the photos below...

Baked Fries from Ledo's Pizza (Yummy!)
Lastly, in the coming weeks, you will begin to see reviews for Mary Kay products.  I was afforded the opportunity to review items from their line and I am excited about this opportunity.  For those of you who, like me, may have had a connotation of Mary Kay being designed for older women, this is a great chance for us to really break it down and see what Mary Kay is about.  I can't wait.  More to come...

Thanks for reading & God bless!
